An energetic sister is attempting to get her brother to have a tea party with her. It's not going well.

An entry for a contest run by Post Wave Children’s Books. The theme was "Time for Tea," and it was a great experience. The story I envisioned was about the sister trying out different types of tea parties to encourage her older brother to play with her, as they did when they were younger. Some of the ideas I had were a superhero, space/astronaut, and ocean-themed tea parties, and I added those ideas, along with others, to her hair in the cover illustration. But of course, I chose the pirate theme to illustrate. If this were a book, this scene would come toward the end of the second act as the brother grows frustrated with his sister, breaking her imagined world, and the real world bleeds through.
